Ron was born on September 24, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, to Lucille (Full) and Junior Maywood Durst. He married Debra English on May 21, 1988, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Debra Durst; brother, Ken Durst; niece, Carrie Durst Franjesevic; nephew, Joe Durst; brothers-in-law, Dan (Sherra) English, Harold (Mieko) English, Robert (Liz) English, John (Cindy) English, and Richard English; as well as numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews; plus many additional extended family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Durst.

He honorably served our country in the United States Army Reserve. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1973 from Berry College in Mt. Berry, Georgia.
